. . . is really not fun, but thankfully we're almost done with that phase of our moving in. I think that, aside from my library, we've pretty much unboxed everything now and housed it all in a) places typically no longer in cardboard and b) places that aren't the "right" place for it to be in, so I can honestly say now that I can at least find things again, though it may take me a little longer than normal to do so.
It's been a busy week and I have seemed to only be able to journal here in fits and starts for the past few weeks, but NOW finals are over with and school is done for about a month, so things are panning out nicely and starting to calm a bit.
Mine and Camie's graphic novel, Zoinks at the Zoo, was turned in for grading this past Monday and I'm told that once it is available to pick-up from the professor, a pdf version should be forthcoming. When I get it, I'll post it on here somehow for the world to see. I was actually really pleased with how it turned out and have become a little inspired to write some other comics for the time being. So, my creativity is going into those right now.
We put up our Christmas tree over the weekend and Sadie was pretty thrilled by that. I'll post some pictures of our house, the tree, the kids, etc. as soon as I find our camera.
I think most of you know now that I'm working at Barnes & Noble, Florence again for the holidays. It's a good thing I'm only there for the discount because - Good Lord! - my hourly wage is pathetic. At least it is fun and temporary. I like the book culture there and hadn't realized how much I missed talking books for a few hours a week with people who actually really like talking books and another added bonus is that I'm getting wicked-good exercise there.
More later. . . .
UPDATE - It's been a week since I posted a song or anything that I'm obsessing over, so. . . . here's a song I really like right no from The Killers ft. Lou Reed:
with a tip o'the hat to Kara for finding this, though i'm pretty sure I like it more than she does.
