Oh happiness of happies, my computer is fixed by my own hand. I added a power supply and installed a new DVD+-RW, so I'm pleased. Other interesting finds of the night:
- Maxthon2 - This is a new internet browser I'm taken with. It runs faster than IE, is customizable, and is really a pretty fantastic little product. It's free too and, so far as I can tell, not buggy at all. Get it here.
- Launchy - This is pretty neat but needs a little explaining. Launchy is an application launcher for Windows and the idea here is that you press Alt+Space and a small bar appears in the middle of your screen into which you type the program you want to launch and the program uses the file names in your computer to populate the field as you type. The end result? Launch programs from your keyboard very rapidly. It's a neat little tool and more useful than you think it is. You can find it here.
Both are nice if you're wanting to play with your computer a little bit and try out new things. As always, you should never take installing new software on your computer TOO lightly, but, that having been said, come on. It's only a computer. Have some fun with it.

And you find these programs...how? You always alert me to things like this, and I never remember them, or how to use them, or what to use them for. You are dealing with a computer illiterate person. However...you must be a glutton for punishment because I inevitable always go bug you to ask you questions on these things after you alert me to them...you never learn...
